Privacy

We use your firm's data only to provide the service — reading and extracting your documents, drafting your commitments, and running your matters. We do not use it to train AI models, we do not use it for any other purpose, and we do not share it beyond the service providers named in this policy.

To run Mesne we use a small number of third-party providers. Each receives only the data it needs to do its job.

Anthropic (AI extraction and drafting). Mesne uses Anthropic's AI models to read your uploaded documents, extract information from them, and draft commitments. This means the contents of the documents you upload — including personal information they contain about your clients — are transmitted to Anthropic to perform that work. Anthropic's commercial terms state that it does not train its models on this content and deletes it within 30 days by default.

Clerk (sign-in and accounts). Handles authentication and stores your account information, such as your email address.

DigitalOcean (hosting). Where the Mesne application and your data are hosted.

Public county and records systems. When you create a matter, Mesne queries public records (such as the register of deeds and county tax assessor) using the property address, to validate and retrieve public information.

We do not sell your data.
